The LUVI Player

Whether you open it in the workspace, the library or LuviBot, every video plays in the LUVI Player. Let's take a tour of everything it can do.

The buttons along the top are grouped by colour: teal for playback, amber for markers, purple for In and Out, and red for safety zones.

Press Play, or the space bar, to start the video. The buttons beside it rewind to the start, play in reverse, stop, and skip to the end.

Turn on Loop and the video starts again whenever it ends.

To move one frame at a time, use the arrow buttons or the comma and full-stop keys. The left and right arrow keys jump five seconds.

Hover over the bar at the bottom to preview any moment with its timecode, and drag to scrub frame by frame.

The timecode runs in hours, minutes, seconds and frames, with the current frame number beside it. Click it to open the big timecode: it shows the audio details, and you can drag it anywhere and change its colour.

Right next to it, you'll see the video's resolution, aspect ratio and frame rate.

The flag button, or the M key, drops a marker on the current frame. Use marker settings to add one with a name, a comment and a colour, or click a marker on the bar to edit it.

Jump between markers with the arrow buttons or the A and D keys; the bin clears them all at once. Your markers are saved automatically.

Press I to set an In point and O to set an Out point. Play range then loops just the part between them.

The red frame button shows each platform's safety zones, such as Instagram Reels, Stories, feed posts and YouTube Shorts. Areas that will be cropped are hatched, and the edges covered by usernames and buttons are marked.

Drag the video and scale it with the mouse wheel to adjust the framing, then confirm.

On the right are volume, playback rate and fullscreen. You can set the speed anywhere from a quarter to four times.

Use the mouse wheel to zoom in up to five times, and drag to look around.

The Download button gives you the original file, a lightweight copy for editing, or a Premiere or Final Cut timeline with your markers.

Open a video from your library, and the thin bar on the right edge opens a side panel.

In the Frames tab, Capture grabs the current frame at full resolution. You can collect up to ten and download each one as a PNG. Switching tabs clears them, so download first.

In the Compare tab, pick a second video from your library, then use Swap to flip between the two.
