How do I move, rename or select many files?
Drag files onto a folder to move them, right-click → Rename to change a name (LUVI keeps the extension for you), and select many with Cmd/Ctrl+Click, Shift+Click for a range, a drag-rectangle or Cmd/Ctrl+A — the context menu then acts on the whole selection.
Selecting
- Cmd/Ctrl+Click adds or removes one item.
- Shift+Click selects a range.
- Drag a rectangle over the grid.
- Cmd/Ctrl+A selects everything in view; Esc clears.
The count of selected items shows in the toolbar, and every context-menu action — Download, Send, Move, Delete, Edit Tags — applies to all of them.
Moving
Drag the selection onto a folder in the grid or in the tree on the left. On a phone use ⋮ → Move to… and pick the folder. A folder cannot be moved into itself or its descendants, and a trashed folder is not a valid target. Team-vault items move within the vault only.
Renaming
Right-click → Rename. Type the new name; if you leave out the extension LUVI appends the original one, so a .mp4 stays a .mp4. Names are unique inside a project — a duplicate is refused with a message.
- Uploads keep their original filename underneath; the new name is a display name you can clear later.
- Generations are named by LUVI as project-0001-date-index until you rename them; clearing the name restores that pattern.
- Mass rename (generations only): select several, choose Rename, and the dialog applies a pattern to all of them.
Downloads keep the name
The name you set is the filename you get when downloading, and the file's tags are written into it as keywords.

With items selected, the number keys 1–5 rate them and 0 clears the rating.

Can I rename several at once?
Yes, for generations: select them and choose Rename; the mass-rename dialog applies the pattern to all. Uploads and folders rename one at a time.
Why was my new name refused?
Another file in the same project already has it. Names are unique per project.
How do I get the original name back?
Rename and leave the field empty. Uploads return to their original filename; generations return to LUVI's naming pattern.
