How do I earn free credits by verifying my phone and a card?

New accounts start with 200 credits. Verify your mobile number for 500 more and a card for 1,000 more — both from Account → Billing, in any order. Verifying the card charges nothing.

Up to 1,700 free credits

Every new LUVI account starts with 200 credits. Two optional steps add more:

  • Verify your phone: +500 credits. We text you a code and you type it in.
  • Verify a card: +1,000 credits. You add a card on Stripe's secure page. Nothing is charged.

The steps are independent: do one, both or neither, in any order. With both done you have 1,700 credits before buying anything.

Where to find the offer

  • In the welcome note at the bottom of the screen on your first visit.
  • On Account → Billing, under Earn more free credits, which also shows the steps you've already done.
  • When a generation or a LuviBot answer needs more credits than you have.

Verifying your phone

  1. Press Verify next to Verify your phone.
  2. Pick your country, or leave it on Detect from the number and type the number with its country code.
  3. Press Send code. The text arrives within a few seconds and the code is valid for 5 minutes.
  4. Type the code and press Verify. The 500 credits land on your balance straight away.

Only mobile numbers can receive the code; landlines and internet (VoIP) numbers are refused. Each number earns the bonus once, on one account. An account can ask for two codes in total. In a few countries the phone step isn't available yet — verify a card instead.

Verifying a card

  1. Press Add card next to Verify a card, then Continue to Stripe.
  2. Enter your card on Stripe's page. Your bank will then ask you to confirm it in its app or by text; the 1,000 credits arrive once the bank has confirmed the card.
  3. Stripe sends you back to Account → Billing, where a note confirms the 1,000 credits.

If you leave Stripe's page half-way, pressing Add card again takes you back to the same page. A declined card can be retried there or swapped for another one.

The card stays saved on your account for later purchases and is never charged automatically. You can remove it from the Stripe portal under Account → Billing whenever you like.

Each card earns the bonus once, on one account. Prepaid cards don't earn it; credit and debit cards do.

Where the credits show

Both bonuses appear in Account → Billing → Transactions as Phone verification bonus and Card verification bonus, and the balance in the header updates on its own.

Frequently asked

Does LUVI see my card details?

No. You enter the card on Stripe's page and only Stripe, our payment provider, receives and stores the card number, expiry date and security code. Under card security rules (PCI DSS) we couldn't store them even if we wanted to; we only see the card's brand, last four digits, country and type.

Is my card charged?

No. Your bank will ask you to confirm the card with a text code or in its app, but no money is taken. The card stays saved for later purchases and is never charged automatically.

Why didn't my prepaid card earn the bonus?

Prepaid cards don't earn the card bonus. Credit and debit cards do. You can still pay for credits with a prepaid card.

Why didn't my card earn the bonus?

The card bonus needs your bank to confirm the card: the security code has to be right, and you approve the check with a text code or in your banking app (3D Secure). If the bank can't confirm it, for example because the card doesn't support this step, the card is still saved for purchases but doesn't earn the bonus. You can try again or use another credit or debit card.

Does LUVI keep my phone number?

No. LUVI keeps only the last two digits and a one-way fingerprint of the number, so the same number can't earn the bonus twice.

Can existing accounts earn these credits?

No. The phone and card bonuses are for accounts opened from 16 October 2026 onwards.
