Why does Google sign-in say my email already exists?
Because an account with that email was created with a password first; sign in with the password, then link Google from Account → Profile → Connected accounts and both methods will open the same account.
What the message means
An account with this email already exists. Please sign in with the method you originally used.
You see it when you press Continue with Google and the Google account's email matches a LUVI account that was created with email and password. LUVI does not silently attach Google to that account — that would let anyone who controls the Google login walk into an account they never linked. Instead it undoes the attempt and sends you back to the sign-in window.
What to do
- Choose the Sign in tab and enter the email and password.
- If you do not remember the password, press Forgot password, open the link in the email and set a new one.
- Once signed in, open Account → Profile → Connected accounts and press Connect next to Google.
From then on both methods open the same account, with the same credits and projects.
The reverse case
If your account was created with Google and you later want a password, use Forgot password with the same address: the reset link lets you set one, and email sign-in becomes available alongside Google.
